Not another 20 years!

Twenty years ago people started to expose slavery in Mauritania, it took that amount of time for the United Nations to say in November 2009, that this practice should stop.

Mauritania is country just south to the Tinduf refugee camps that shares the language and culture with the people from Western Sahara.

The government in Mauritania has denied the practice for many years, they say that is not 'slavery' is their culture...Finally because of international pressure slavery was abolished twice and criminalised in 2007 yet nobody told the black people!

When they talked about paying compensation, I almost fall of my chair, when I heard who was to receive such a payment... in this case is THE MASTER!!!

Hopefully it won't take another 20 years for the UN to put pressure to the Polisario and the Moroccan Govt to address slavery...

SLAVERY SHOULD BE ABOLISHED!!! There is no excuse for the UN, for the Polisario, for the Moroccans, for the human right activists...for anyone to keep this 'cultural practice' alive!
